Person in the post office could not give me any time frame and actually hung up on me before I was done talking. I found myself talking to an empty phone. Very rude.
I am loosing my faith to a Post Office services big time after recent incidents.
Just had a nice talk with Honesdale PO, wanted to open a post office box as I am in the process of moving. Guy said it could not be done as they had to verify a physical address, but this was exactly my problem, that I did not have a physical address to verify. PO guy gave me the solution: temporary mail forwarding. So I didn't get what I wanted, but he told me how to get what I needed for less money and more convenient. I always think people who complain about DMV and Post Office are probably jerks.
I have been very disappointed lately about the local carrier here in Honesdale. We have received mail that does not belong to us or our address several times and I know it happens quite a bit around us.
I understand not being able to deliver mail during blizzards and other inclement weather but this is ridiculous. I haven't received any mail since before the blizzard of 2017. My mailbox was easily accessible but still no mail. I call the post and was told just because I can easily drive up to my mailbox doesn't mean the mail carrier can. I would have to highly disagree with that. If I can drive up to it normally then so can the carrier!! This isn't the first time we've had this issue either. We were expecting packages another time so my husband was outside waiting for the carrier just to see them drop their pink slip in the box and drive off even though my husband was yelling for them to wait. Absolutely no reason for crap like this to happen!!
Very good. Had my ups and downs over past 22 years. We have been on an upswing for a few years now. Carrier very personable.
The employees at this post office are very rude!! Not helpful and very opinionated! I am outraged that such people would be in my neighborhood.
Yesterday I received a padded envelope that does not belong to us or is not even anyway related to our street name. I called post office to find out what time carrier would be here so I could give it back.
